What is your favorite style of dance?
My favorite style of dance is lyrical.
What’s one routine you wish you could perform again?
One routine I wish I could perform again is “Hotel California.“
What’s a moment in dance that challenged you—and changed you?
A moment when I was challenged is when I had my first knee surgery. How it changed me is listening to my body and knowing when I need to stop and take a break, especially when I wanted to hop right back in and dance full out.
What’s a backstage or rehearsal memory you’ll never forget?
My favorite backstage memory is when I was so excited to go on stage for the first time for a dance competition performing “Never Had A Friend Like Me!”
What’s one thing you’re proud of that people might not have seen?
One thing I’m proud of that people might not have noticed is how much I have grown in my technique.
If your dance journey had a theme song, what would it be?
“The Climb” by Miley Cyrus
What advice would younger you need to hear?
Try your absolute best and have fun!
What advice do you have for the next generation at the studio?
To enjoy everything, even the long dress rehearsals, the late dance nights, and days you don’t want to dance, because time goes by fast and you are going to miss those moments.
What are you most excited about in your next chapter?
To have new exciting adventures and meeting new people.
